  • Tomorrow night’s Game Notes are up. Check them out in the Game Day pull down on the front page.

  • We just posted a story about the alumni who participated in the ceremony on Monday. Right now it’s the main story on the front page. There are comments from Milt Schmidt, Wayne Cashman, Gerry Cheevers, P.J. Stock and Ray Bourque.

  • Mr. Schmidt held court for quite a while when I interviewed him and I am sure that everyone will enjoy what he had to say. Watch the front page for the upcoming podcast.

  • Speaking of podcasts, the newest BruinsCast is up right now, and features yours truly interviewing Patrice Bergeron, Andrew Alberts and Monday’s hero, Brad Stuart. Take a listen, and see what you think -- especially if you haven’t listened to BruinsCast before!

  • Fred Cusick, long time voice of the Boston Bruins, has recently written a book entitled Fred Cusick, Voice of the Bruins: 60 Years in Boston Sports. The Bruins Pro Shop is going to have a book signing with Mr. Cusick tomorrow, Thursday, December 7th from 4:30-6:30. That’s right before the Bruins game if you are coming in to North Station to see the B’s. The book is $18.95 and he will sign it and personalize it for free.

  • The Bruins return home to the TD Banknorth Garden on tomorrow when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will feature a post-game concert by the rock band State Radio.

Thursday night is also Student Night, which entitles students to purchase select seats at half price with a valid student ID.

Tickets are available for all home games online by clicking here, at the TD Banknorth Garden Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 617.624.BEAR. The game can be seen live on NESN and heard live on WBZ Radio.

    Ice Chips
Brian Finley was on the ice this morning and looks to be progressing nicely after his injury. He took turns in net, spelling Tim Thomas and Hannu Toivonen.

Both Toivonen and Thomas were extraordinarily intense today and both goaltenders could be seen yelling at themselves after missing a shot.

The Bruins practiced the PK/PP today and also switched over to breakouts resulting in 3-on-1’s and 2-on-0’s.

The goalies seemed to be working on rebound control and consistently tried to push the pucks away from the trailing forwards when the pucks hit their pads.

    Post Practice Protests
Many of you know that the Bruins usually have 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 games after the main practice session.

Well, today, there was a ’controversy’ that led to a ’protest’ after practice when the post-session shinny game turned "ugly."

Self-appointed commissioner Marc Savard, laughed, and told me that his opponents "are liars."

Someone else walked in, I missed who it was, and started yelling "too many rules. Too many rules."

It also seems that there was a controversial goal and that Savard’s archrival squad scored and skipped off the ice, leaving the Savard squad stunned.

Mark Mowers is probably involved -- the sneaky UNH alum is always starting trouble.

In any case, Brad Boyes was clearly ’perplexed’ by the turn of events.

"It was brutal…they scored and said, ’Game over.’ And I did not know what was going on," said Boyes.

Stay tuned for more good-natured controversy on As the Puck Turns.
