B’s Go Back to Work
The Bruins return to the ice today at Ristuccia and look to continue to solidify their play going into a HUGE match up with Toronto in the Garden on Thursday.

The Eastern Conference has gotten very tight in terms of the final playoff positions and the Bruins are right in the thick of things.

Team, GP, Pts
Ottawa, 28, 31
Toronto, 29, 31
New Jersey, 25, 30
NY Rangers, 27, 30
Boston, 25,28
Washington, 26, 28
Tampa Bay, 28, 28

Boston still holds several games in hand on virtually everyone, and the Leafs are only three points ahead of the Bruins in the standings -- hence the ’hugeness’ of tomorrow’s match up.

And despite Boston being fifth in the Northeast Division, that race has heated up as well -- keeping in mind that the Sabres are still rolling, so fans and players alike must keep their eyes on the Conference standings first and foremost.

Team, G, W-L-OTL, Pts
Buffalo, 27, 21-4-2, 44
Montreal, 26, 15-8-3, 33
Toronto, 29,13-11-5, 31
Ottawa, 28, 15-12-1, 31
Boston, 25, 13-10-2, 28

No word yet on the Bruins injury situation, but the organization returned Jeff Hoggan to Providence yesterday, so that seems to bode well.

Both P.J. Axelsson and Paul Mara missed the 6-5 win in Montreal on Monday and are day-to-day with a foot and leg injury respectively.

The coaches gave the Bruins the day off on Tuesday, no doubt in an effort to let the team heal up after a pretty tight schedule of games.

Off to practice, more later...
