Bish has left the building...
We are outta here.

The Bruins win last night earned the players a well-deserved day off and has earned yours truly a chance to get home and see the fam.

It’ll be nice to have a day off.

It’s a beautiful morning here in the city, and the snow that was predicted did not materialize, so that is helpful.

Had a HUGE breakkie at Chez Cora and the Bish (both Dad and I) have toasted Montreal for its stadium, its beauty and its wonderful people over a cup of hot joe.

Merci Beaucoup mon amis!

In any case, I will return to Boston this evening and resume my chase of the proverbial scoop at practice tomorrow.

As much as I enjoyed Canada, I am very happy to be going home to the General.

My thoughts, this morning, on the B’s: Good teams win games like last night.

"It was certainly emotional," agreed Coach Lewis post game. "As it turned out, some key guys made some big time plays and we were able to win the hockey game."

"We did, but that’s so long ago it doesn’t matter," said Lewis when asked about his team’s slow start. "The important thing is, I don’t know if we deserved to win, but we won.

"And right now that’s all we needed. We need points and [the win] was against a top opponent in their building.

"It was important for us," he said.

Yes it was, Coach. Yes it was.

By the way, The Black and Gold return home to the TD Banknorth Garden on Thursday when they square off against the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7:00 p.m.

If you can get to the Garden -- GO!

Some of the Bruins were already talking about facing the Leafs again. The teams have heightened what has always been a strong, traditional rivalry and the Bruins are hoping to have its seventh man behind them.

And as an added bonus, don’t miss State Radio perform a special, post-game concert after the game .
