Bonjour from Montreal
Sunday, 12.3.2006 / 11:45 AM ET / News
Both Bish (henceforth the plural of Bish, is Bish) have arrived in Montreal, Quebec, safe and sound -- Dad and I did have to brave a little bit of a snow storm to get here, so any chance of making the practice at Mantha Arena are gone, but we beat the heaviest of the weather.
No way I am driving any more in the driving snow. I may be crazy, but I am not stupid.
BTW, Montreal looks like it should in a snowstorm.
It’s beautiful, old and European in a real North American way. The modern buildings are tucked in with the older edifices in a way that is very charming, just like Boston.
The snow really frames the place well. And it really looks like a hockey city in this weather.
I hope to take a walk around later to take in some of the ambience.
My plan is to grab a chance to speak to the guys after practice as they are supposedly driving in full gear on the bus to Mantha and then bussing back in gear to get cleaned up at the Bell Centre.
There was not supposed to be any media availability at the practice rink, in any case. If I am able to connect then I will let you know how it went.
So, au revoir for now.
