Boston Bruins Recall Mark Stuart From Providence (AHL)\r\n
BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Mark Stuart from the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

Stuart, a second-year player from Rochester, Minnesota and Colorado College, has not seen any action for the Bruins this season after undergoing off-season knee surgery. He spent the beginning of the 2006-07 season rehabbing his knee in Boston with the Bruins training staff before being assigned to Providence on November 7.

Stuart played four games for Providence this season scoring a goal and three assists (four points), along with a +6 plus/minus rating.

This is the second consecutive day that Stuart has been recalled by Boston, as he was called up yesterday morning and later reassigned to Providence yesterday afternoon.

Last season, in 17 games with Boston, Stuart tallied one goal and one assist for two points and finished with a -1 plus/minus rating. In addition to his play with Boston, Stuart saw action in 60 games with Providence last season, recording four goals and three assists for seven points and a +4 plus/minus rating.

The Bruins are back in action tomorrow night when they battle the Penguins at 7:30 p.m. ET in Pittsburgh. The game can be seen live on NESN and heard live on WBZ Radio. The Black and Gold return home to the TD Banknorth Garden on Friday when they square off at against the defending Stanley Cup Champion, Carolina Hurricanes at Noon.
