Stuart Returned to Providence
BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has assigned defenseman Mark Stuart to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

Stuart, a second-year player from Rochester, Minnesota and Colorado College, has not seen any action for the Bruins this season after undergoing off-season knee surgery. He spent the beginning of the 2006-07 season rehabbing his knee in Boston with the Bruins training staff before being assigned to Providence on November 7. Stuart has played four games for Providence this season scoring a goal and three assists for four points along with a +6 plus/minus rating. He was recalled to Boston earlier today and took part in the team's morning skate before being notified that he would be returning to Providence.

Last season, in 17 games with Boston, Stuart tallied one goal and one assist for two points and finished with a -1 plus/minus rating. In addition to his play with Boston, Stuart saw action in 60 games with Providence last season, recording four goals and three assists for seven points and a +4 plus/minus rating.

The Bruins are back in action tonight at the TD Banknorth Garden when they square off against the Florida Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The game can be seen live on NESN and heard on WBZ 1030 AM. The Bruins then travel to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins on Wednesday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. before returning to the TD Banknorth Garden to face the defending Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, November 24 at Noon.

Tickets are available for all home games online by clicking here, at the TD Banknorth Garden Box Office, or by phone at 617.624.BEAR. Through tonight, all children 12 years old and under will be admitted free with the purchase of a ticket for select seats.
