Bruins Recall Mark Stuart from Providence (AHL)
BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Mark Stuart from the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

Stuart, a second-year player from Rochester, Minnesota and Colorado College, has not seen any action for the Bruins this season after undergoing off-season knee surgery. He spent the beginning of the 2006-07 season rehabbing his knee in Boston with the Bruins training staff before being assigned to Providence on November 7. Stuart played four games for Providence this season scoring a goal and three assists for four points along with a +6 plus/minus rating.

Last season, in 17 games with Boston, Stuart tallied one goal and one assist for two points and finished with a -1 plus/minus rating. In addition to his play with Boston, Stuart saw action in 60 games with Providence last season, recording four goals and three assists for seven points and a +4 plus/minus rating.

The Bruins are back in action tonight at the TD Banknorth Garden when they square off against the Florida Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The game can be seen live on NESN and heard on WBZ 1030 AM. The Bruins then travel to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins on Wednesday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. before returning to the TD Banknorth Garden to face the defending Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, November 24 at Noon.
