Bruins assign goaltender Brian Finley to Providence (AHL)

BOSTON, MA -- Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has assigned goaltender Brian Finley to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.
Finley, who was recalled by Boston from Providence on Tuesday, November 7, made his debut with the Bruins in a 6-4 loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, November 9 in relief of Tim Thomas.
Finley, who let up two goals in the game, took the loss.
Finley has played eight games with Providence this season, maintaining a record of 5-3-0 and a goals-against average of 3.08. The Sault Ste. Marie native signed with the Bruins on July 17, 2006 after spending the past four years with the Nashville Predators organization.
The Boston Bruins are back in action on Wednesday when they square off with the Capitals in Washington, D.C. at 7:00 p.m. The game can be seen live on NESN and heard on WBZ 1030 AM. The Bruins return home to the TD Banknorth Garden a day later when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7:00 p.m.
