Raycroft listed day-to-day; Sigalet called up from Providence

Boston Bruins General Manager Mike O’Connell announced today that goaltender Andrew Raycroft suffered a strained hamstring in last night’s game in Carolina and will be out of the lineup on a day-to-day basis.
O’Connell also announced that the club has recalled goaltender Jordan Sigalet from their American Hockey League affiliate in Providence.
Sigalet, 24, was Boston’s sixth pick (seventh round), 209th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He turned professional this season following a four-year career at Bowling Green State University, where he compiled a 34-46-16 record and 2.98 goals against average with four shutouts in 102 career college games. He was named a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award as the top U.S. college player in 2004-05.
The 6’1”, 170 lb. native of New Westminster, British Columbia has played one game with the Providence Bruins this season, earning his first professional win in his first pro game, a 5-2 victory in Portland on October 15.
