Bruins hire Bill Lesuk as Amateur Scout

The Boston Bruins have hired former Bruin Bill Lesuk as an amateur scout, it was announced today by Bruins General Manager Mike O'Connell. Based out of Regina, Saskatchewan, Lesuk will be responsible for scouting amateur prospects who are eligible for the NHL Entry Draft.
Lesuk, 58, played eight seasons in the NHL and WHA with Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Washington and Winnipeg from 1968-1980, and was a member of Boston’s 1970 Stanley Cup-winning team. He retired as a player following the 1979-80 season with Winnipeg and joined the Jets front office as a scout in September, 1980. Following nine seasons as a regional scout for the Jets, he was named Director of Scouting in Winnipeg in September, 1989 and remained in that capacity through the 1999-2000 season. The Saskatchewan native has spent the last five seasons as the Director of Amateur Scouting for the Chicago Blackhawks.
