Bruins assign eight players to Providence
Bruins General Manager Mike O’Connell announced today that the Bruins have assigned eight players from Boston’s training camp to the team’s American Hockey League affiliate in Providence.

Assigned to Providence (AHL) were goaltender Jordan Sigalet, defenseman Jonathan Sigalet and forwards Eric Healey, Ben Guite, Nate Thompson, Ben Walter, Pat Leahy and Tyler Redenbach.

The Boston Bruins open their pre-season schedule this week with a two-game road trip on Tuesday, September 20 vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs in Hamilton, Ontario and on Wednesday, September 21 vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

The Bruins will host the New York Islanders in a pre-season game on Friday, September 23 (7:00 p.m.) at the TD Banknorth Garden.
