Boston, MA --
There’s nothing like a reunion to put everyone in a good mood, but a trip to Fenway Park always helps, too. So recently, when Milan Lucic, Jeremy Reich, Mark Stuart, and Shawn Thornton convened at the TD Banknorth Garden for the first time since last season, they formed a happy group.

Sure, a busy day lay ahead, but there were no complaints, because the four B’s were going to be filming a commercial for NESN on the Red Sox home field.

After piling into a car in the West End and making a quick coffee run, the players arrived in the Fens and headed into Boston’s beloved ballpark.

Once inside they walked onto Boston’s field of dreams for the first time and for a few minutes everyone just looked around in amazement.

“It was my first time on a baseball field, on America’s favorite baseball field – Fenway Park,” explained Milan Lucic. “It was really cool for me.”

It was cool for everyone, but the guys knew they weren’t there to just stand around, so everyone quickly got down to the business of assigning roles for the commercial, with the concept being that the Bruins would play the grounds crew.

Thornton was quick to claim his part, “I’m the mower!” and the actual grounds crew could barely control him as he rode around on the tractor and caught “chirps” from his fellow teammates for driving hither and yon.

“I was having a good time,” said Shawn. “I’m a city kid and there’s not too many tractors kicking around my neck of the woods.”

After a few minutes of training with the Red Sox personnel, the Bruins were already pros and all of the "acting" performances were strong as the shoot featured Lucic raking the infield dirt, Reich watering the turf, and Stuart primping the foul line.

However, everyone got shy when it came time for the speaking role. Everyone, that is, except Jeremy Reich.

“I was the only one who wanted to say anything,” he joked afterward. ”Nobody else wanted to say the line!”

Stuart explained that he felt Reich might be the best actor out of the four.

“I’m very glad he gets the speaking roles,” said Stuart, who has played the strong silent role in past commercial shoots. “I definitely don’t want to be put in that position.”

Mind you this line totaled a whopping seven words, “Dave will never find us in here.”

Thornton started getting everyone’s hopes up about the possibility of an Emmy in their future and was quick to point out each player’s strength as an actor.

“Luch is probably the most dramatic,” said Thornton. “Stuey has the most camera presence.  Reicher’s got some good lines.

“I don’t know why I’m actually involved to tell you the truth.”

After hearing such praise, Milan couldn’t help but ponder a future career in acting.

“Well, there’s always life after hockey, right?” he said with a grin.
