Boston Bruins Announce Roster Moves

Boston, MA -- Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that nine players will no longer participate in the ’07 Boston Bruins Training Camp.  Four players will rejoin their Junior clubs, three will be invited to the Providence Bruins (AHL) Training Camp and two will be assigned to the Providence Bruins Training Camp.

The four players returning to their Junior teams are right wing Jordan Knackstedt (Moose Jaw - WHL), defenseman Denis Reul (Lewiston MAINEiacs - QMJHL), defenseman Radim Ostrcil (Ottawa 67’s - OHL), and goaltender Adam Courchaine (Ottawa 67’s - OHL). 

Defenseman Daryl Boyle, center Reid Jorgensen and left wing Jamison Orr will be invited to attend the Providence Bruins Training Camp, which is scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 22.

Left wing Chris Collins and goaltender Mike Brown have been assigned to Providence’s training camp.

Tuesday will mark the beginning of a stretch that sees the Bruins play four preseason games in a six-day span. 

Boston will play their first game of their ’07 Training Camp (at 5:30 p.m. ET) on Tuesday, September 18 in St. John’s, Newfoundland against the New York Islanders.  They will take on the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, September 20 (at 7:00 p.m. ET) in Manchester, NH and then the Toronto Maple Leafs (at 4:00 p.m. ET) on Saturday, September 22 at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston.  The fourth game will be on Sunday, September 23 (at 3:00 p.m. ET) against the Montreal Canadiens in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
