Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced the club’s training camp schedule today. Camp officially begins on Wednesday, September 12 and concludes on Thursday, October 4.

All Bruins training camp practices will be open to the public at no charge. Media and fans can call the information line at 617-624-1910 by 5:00 p.m. to double check the exact schedule for the following day.

In addition to regular practices throughout the three-week camp, the Bruins will play six preseason contests, as well as a rookie game against the New Jersey Devils on Sunday, September 16.  The Bruins regular season begins on Friday, October 5 when they travel to Dallas to face off against the Stars at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Of the six full-team preseason games, the Bruins will play two at home at the TD Banknorth Garden, one away at Montreal and three on neutral ice.  Tuesday, September 18 will mark the Bruins first full-team preseason game, as the club will travel to St. John’s, Newfoundland to play the New York Islanders at 5:30 p.m. ET.  They will then face the New Jersey Devils in Manchester, NH on Thursday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. ET and the Toronto Maple Leafs at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston on Saturday, September 22 at 4:00 p.m. ET. 

The Bruins have two games scheduled against the Montreal Canadiens, the first of which will be played in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Sunday, September 23 at 3:00 p.m. ET.  The teams will meet again on Thursday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET in Montreal.  The final scrimmage of the 2007 Training Camp will take place on Sunday, September 30 when the Bruins host the Islanders at the TD Banknorth Garden at 4:00 p.m. ET.
