BRUINS HOLIDAY TOY DELIVERY PRESENTED BY WYNN RESORTS: On December 20, the Boston Bruins roster participated in the Bruins annual Holiday Toy Delivery event sponsored by Wynn Resorts. The B's split up into teams and visited children at six Boston hospitals and delivered the toys purchased at the Bruins Holiday Toy Shopping event on December 3. Over 600 children, who are unable to celebrate the holidays at home, were visited between at the following hospitals: Boston Children's Hospital, Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, Franciscan Hospital for Children, MassGeneral Hospital for Children, Shriners Hospital for Children, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. All of the toys delivered at the Bruins Holiday Toy Delivery event were purchased through donations from the Bruins players, coaching staff, the Bruins Foundation, and Wynn Resorts. Bruins Hall of Famer Ray Bourque started the holiday toy shopping and delivery tradition when he was captain, and the event has continued through the years. This marks Patrice Bergeron’s fourth year spearheading the Toy Delivery on behalf of the team.
COMCAST LAUNCHES BRUINS ON DEMAND: Comcast announced Tuesday, December 17 the launching of a new series of programs available as part of Bruins On Demand in partnership with the Boston Bruins and NESN. The partnership will deliver Bruins fans wall-to-wall coverage of the team, ranging from behind-the-scenes features to entire game replays.
Bruins On Demand is available to Comcast’s Xfinity TV customers to put fans in control and give them access to in-depth coverage of the players and team as well as press conferences and community events produced by the Boston Bruins. With the latest Bruins On Demand programs, fans can get to know Brad Marchand, Kevan Miller, Dougie Hamilton and other stars. In addition, Bruins On Demand offerings will include the “Behind the B” series as well as “The Week Ahead,” which is a preview of the on and off ice happenings of the team in the coming week produced by BruinsTV. Furthermore, Bruins On Demand enables fans to tune into replays of NESN’s Bruins game telecasts within four hours of each game’s conclusion. Games are available On Demand for 24 hours.
Bruins On Demand programming is updated regularly and is available around the clock during the season with the ability to pause, fast forward and rewind selections for Comcast’s Xfinity TV customers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. It’s easy to access just by selecting the “Get Local” category from the On Demand menu, then choosing “Bruins On Demand”. As with the vast majority of Comcast’s 100,000 On Demand programs available on TV and online each month, Bruins On Demand comes at no additional cost to the company’s TV customers.
EPSIODE SIX OF BEHIND THE B PRESENTED BY ALEX AND ANI: The Boston Bruins announced the remaining air dates for Behind the B presented by Alex and Ani. Episode six will air this Monday, December 23 at 7:00 p.m. All episodes of Behind the B will air on NESN and can be streamed online at bostonbruins.com/behindtheb. Other exclusive Behind the B related content will be available on bostonbruins.com and the Boston Bruins Digital Entertainment Network (Bruins DEN) throughout the season.

TOYS FOR TOTS COLLECTION DRIVE: The Boston Bruins will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the US Marine Corps “Toys for Tots” program during Bruins home games leading up to Christmas. Each of the collections will be held at the TD Garden entrance turnstiles, at Community Corner located in Loge 4, and on the balcony level. For every $10 donation or toy donation, fans will receive a raffle ticket to be entered into a drawing for Bruins autographed memorabilia including a team-autographed jersey, team-autographed stick, and a player-autographed puck and photo. SIXTH ANNUAL BRUINS HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT: The B’s are returning to the Haverhill Valley Forum to host the sixth annual Boston Bruins Holiday Tournament from Friday, December 27 through Monday, December 30. The event will feature Mite and Squirt squads playing in a minimum of three games over a four-day period. Throughout the event the Boston Bruins mascot, Blades, and Ice Girls will be mingling and taking photographs with fans. For more information, please see the “Around Town” section of the Week Ahead.

PUCKS & PUPS 2014 CALENDAR: The Bruins announced the Pucks & Pups 2014 Bruins calendar, which will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and MSPCA Angell. Pucks & Pups is a unique 2014 calendar featuring Bruins players and management photographed with their pets or with adoptable dogs from the MSPCA. Players featured in the calendar include Johnny Boychuk, Gregory Campbell, Zdeno Chara, Jarome Iginla, Chris Kelly, Milan Lucic, Brad Marchand, Daniel Paille, Tuukka Rask, Dennis Seidenberg, and Shawn Thornton. Bruins Principal Charlie Jacobs, President Cam Neely, General Manager Peter Chiarelli and Head Coach Claude Julien also participated in the project. The calendar features the B’s with their family pets or new friends waiting for homes at the MSPCA. THAT MAKES NINE: In last night’s game against the Buffalo Sabres, Providence Bruins call-up David Warsofsky became the ninth player this season to play his first game as a Bruin (Craig Cunningham, Loui Eriksson, Matt Fraser, Jarome Iginla, Chad Johnson, Nick Johnson, Kevan Miller, Reilly Smith) and the third to play his first in the NHL (Cunningham, Miller).
LUCIC LIGHTS THE LAMP: Left winger Milan Lucic currently leads the B’s in goals (11) and ranks fourth in player penalty minutes. Lucic is one of two players (Corey Perry, Anaheim Ducks) with both 25+ goals and 100+ PIMs in each of the last two 82-game NHL seasons.
THIS WEEK’S MATCHUPS: The Bruins will face three opponents this week, starting with a rematch against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, December 21, at TD Garden. The Black and Gold will then take on the Nashville Predators on Monday, December 23, at 8:00 p.m. in Tennessee before returning to Boston for a four-day game break. On Friday, December 27, at 7:00 p.m. the B’s will play on home ice against the Senators in the first of a back-to-back set against Ottawa.
UPCOMING GAMES BROADCAST SCHEDULE: The NESN broadcast team of Jack Edwards, Andy Brickley and Jamie Erdahl will be covering all of this week’s upcoming Bruins games. The team will see the Bruins play their second game in three days against Buffalo Sabres games at TD Garden on Saturday, December 21, before traveling to Tennessee to see the B’s take on the Nashville Predators that following Monday. BRUINS ON THE AIRWAVES: Bruins defenseman Torey Krug has been confirmed as a weekly call-in guest with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Andy Gresh and Scott Zolak (Gresh and Zo), which airs weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. General Manager Peter Chiarelli and Johnny Boychuk are expected to be regular guests on 98.5 as well with Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb (Toucher and Rich), which airs weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Call-in days and times are dependent upon the B’s schedule.
184 AND COUNTING: Following Saturday’s game against the Calgary Flames, the Boston Bruins have sold out 184 straight regular season and playoff games. This sellout streak began more than three years ago on December 5, 2009 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The last game the Bruins did not have 17,565 in attendance at the Garden was on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 when they hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning (16,553).

OFF THE ICE…
PATRICE’S PALS: As a part of his continuing charitable initiative Patrice’s Pals, Bruins alternate captain Patrice Bergeron invites children from local hospitals and other organizations to experience a Bruins home game from his luxury suite. Children and their families receive goodie bags filled with Bruins memorabilia, a visit from the Bruins Mascot Blades and Bruins Ice Girls, as well as a feature on the Garden HDX. After the game, Patrice’s Pals are escorted to ice level and introduced to Patrice himself who signs autographs and takes pictures with his Pals. This will take place at all Boston Bruins home games during the 2013-14 season.
SAVVY’S SUITE: Boston Bruins forward Marc Savard has partnered with the Brain Injury Center at Children’s Hospital Boston, inviting children who suffer from the effects of Brain Trauma, both physically and psychologically, to attend a Bruins home game in his luxury suite. Children and their families receive goodie bags with Bruins memorabilia and a visit from Bruins Mascot Blades and Bruins Ice Girls. Savard started the program on Thursday, January 12, 2012, and it will continue through the end of the 2013-14 Bruins season.
COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAM: For the entirety of the Boston Bruins 2013-14 regular season, Bruins Principal and Alternate Governor Charlie Jacobs is donating ten balcony tickets to every home game to children from charitable organizations across New England, who are invited to enjoy a Bruins home game from these donated seats.
BRAD’S BRIGADE IS BACK: The 2013-14 season marks an exciting new chapter for Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand’s charitable program, “Brad’s Brigade”. Established in 2010, Marchand’s program invites children from pediatric oncology units across New England to experience a Bruins home game. Children and their families sit in the loge section and are featured on the Garden HDX. Each family also receives a Brad’s Brigade T-Shirt, a Garden Gold Card and a goodie bag with Bruins memorabilia. At the conclusion of the game, families are escorted down to ice level where they have the opportunity to meet Marchand and get a photo taken with him.
