12:15 p.m. - Pregame Snapshots: BOS vs PIT

Matchup: The Bruins will try for three consecutive wins this afternoon and square off against the Penguins for the second time in six days, less than 24 hours after the B's beat the Capitals 4-1 in Boston. The Penguins ride and eight-game winning streak with their 3-0 victory against the Rangers yesterday.

Starting Goaltenders: Rask (14-2-1, 1.91 GAA, .930 Save %) vs. Fleury (15-5-0, 2.45 GAA, .909 Save %). Rask is 1-2-0 with a 2.68 GAA and .913 Save % in three career games against Pittsburgh. Fleury is 10-5-2 with a 2.19 GAA and .929 Save % with two shutouts in 18 career games against Boston.

Bruins vs Penguins Lifetime: The Bruins and Penguins will meet for the 188th time today with the B’s holding a 103-58-21-5 record and a 724-582 scoring advantage in those games.

Krejci-Lucic-Horton Hot: The Krejci line will look to continue their strong north-to-south game they vowed to get back to, yielding the trio to notch a combined nine points yesterday afternoon against the Capitals. Krejci started yesterday's game three points shy of his 300th NHL point, but after notching one goal and two assists the winger was able to reach the personal milestone. Linemate Lucic set a career-high for assist in one game registering three helpers. Not to be outdone, Horton collected a Gordie Howe hat trick with his goal, two assists and fight with Washington's Matt Hendricks.

Bruins PK: The Bruins have killed off their last 24 penalties coming into today’s game with their last power play goal allowed on March 3 against the Montreal Canadiens. This is the B’s third streak of 20-plus straight kills this season. (24, Jan. 19 - 29; 27, Feb. 6 – 28).

B's Physical Presence: The Bruins will look to continue their physical style of play, which saw eight different players register three or more hits against the Washington Capitals yesterday. B's enforcer Shawn Thornton led the way registering seven of the team's 36 hits.

Streaking: Zdeno Chara currently rides a four-game point streak registering two goals and two assists during that span.

Birthday B's: After scoring his first goal of the season yesterday, Bruins defenseman Andrew celebrates his 34th birthday today. B's captain Zdeno Chara will be also be celebrating his birthday tomorrow turning 36.
