STARTING GOALTENDERS: Khudobin (4-2-0, 2.52 GAA, .910 Save %) vs. Neuvirth (2-4-1, 2.86 GAA, .900 Save %). This will be Khudobin’s first career start against Washington. Neuvirth is 1-2-0 with a 3.53 GAA and .841 Save % in five career games against Boston.

B’S ST. PATRICK’S DAY JERSEYS: The Boston Bruins will be sporting their St. Patrick’s Day jerseys for warm ups before today’s game. The player worn jerseys will be auctioned off at the Boston Bruins Foundation table located in Loge 4 during the game. The themed jerseys are also available at the Bruins Pro Shop for purchase.

GAME CHANGE FOR MARCH 31: The time of the Bruins vs. Buffalo game on Sunday, March 31, has been changed from 7:00 p.m. ET to 7:30 p.m. ET.

BRUINS SIGN FALLSTROM: Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, March 16, that the club has signed forward Alexander Fallstrom to an entry-level contract. In 32 games this year with the Harvard Crimson (ECAC), Fallstrom has registered nine goals and 12 assists. Fallstrom is tied for second in goals and assists with the Crimson, and leads the team in points (21). The winger has skated in 113 games at the ECAC level, compiling 33 goals and 37 assists good for 70 points.

BRUINS VS CAPITALS LIFETIME: The Bruins and Capitals will meet for the 141st time today with the B’s holding a 73-39-21-7 record and a 475-388 scoring advantage in those games. Boston is 40-18-9-3 in 70 games at home with a 244-185 scoring edge in those contests. The Capitals defeated the Bruins in their first meeting of the 2013 season, a 4-3 overtime win in Washington.

BRUINS PK: The Bruins have killed off their last 22 penalties coming into today’s game with their last power play goal allowed on March 3 against the Montreal Canadiens. This is the B’s third streak of 20-plus straight kills this season. (24, Jan. 19 - 29; 27, Feb. 6 – 28).

POINT-PER-GAME SUCCESS: Patrice Bergeron has a point-per-game average when playing against the Capitals, netting six goals and 21 assists through 27 games (27 points).

STREAKING: Zdeno Chara currently rides a three-game point streak registering two goals and three assists during that span.

THIRD JERSEYS: The Bruins will wear their third uniform system today for the fifth time this season. Boston is yet to lose in regulation when donning their alternate sweaters, holding a 3-0-1 record in four games.
