Jarome Iginla Returns to Bruins\' Lineup in Toronto

TORONTO - Jarome Iginla returned to the lineup as the Bruins faced the Maple Leafs on Thursday night at the Air Canada Centre.

Iginla had missed the Bruins' game on Wednesday night in Detroit with a lower-body injury that was deemed "day-to-day."

The game marked his first out of the lineup due to an injury of any kind since the 2006-07 season. Julien had said Wednesday that it wasn't a major injury and that Iginla would have played through it if it was the postseason.

"You’re always going to miss a guy like that," Brad Marchand said pregame. "He’s got 30 goals and 60 points. It’s a guy you’re going to miss every night and he’s such a big factor and when he’s not scoring, he’s throwing his weight around and he’s a physical presence and it’s always tough to miss a guy like that. We’ll be happy to have him back."

"He’s been consistent," said Julien, of the veteran winger. "He’s a heavy player. We like to play a heavy game. We like to be strong on the puck and those are all qualities that Jarome has and he’s played extremely well on that line."

The Bruins were with Iginla, but without Carl Soderberg. The forward left the team to be with his wife, who is expecting.

"Carl went back to Boston [on Thursday] for those personal reasons we talked about, so with Iggy back in, basically the only change there is up front," said Julien.

Jordan Caron slotted into the lineup, with Chris Kelly at center and Loui Eriksson on the right wing.
