Tuukka Time vs. Bergeron and Team Canada
BostonBruins.com - According to the NHL.com staff in Sochi, Russia, Tuukka Rask will start for Finland against Canada and Bruins' teammate Patrice Bergeron today (Sunday), as announced by Finnish Head Coach Erkka Westerlund.
Puck drops at noon ET (USA Network) between the Group B opponents at the Olympics.
Rask started Finland's opening game on Thursday, in which they earned an 8-4 win over Austria. He got the night off the following day, as Kari Lehtonen backstopped his squad to a 6-1 victory over Norway. Antti Niemi will be his backup on Sunday against Canada.
Meanwhile, Carey Price will be in goal for Canada. Bergeron has two assists through two games so far, earning the primary assist on Jamie Benn's game-winner in their opening 3-1 win over Norway.
The forward stayed on a line with Benn and John Tavares for Canada's 6-0 victory over Austria, but is slated to start Sunday's game on the right wing alongside Benn and Sidney Crosby at center on Canada's top line.
The winner of the Canada-Finland matchup will end up first in Group B and earn a bye into the quarterfinals, which begin on Wednesday, February 19 (a regulation victory would give the winner the top seed). Loui Eriksson and Sweden have already advanced to the quarterfinals, finishing first in Group C.
