Krejci, S\u00F6derberg Update - When Bruins Head Coach Claude Julien addressed media from the Waterbury Ice Center in Vermont on Tuesday afternoon, he gave updates on two forwards who were still not on the ice due to injury, and stayed back in Boston.

Both David Krejci and Carl Soderberg had been deemed day to day by Julien on Sunday before the Bruins left for their team-building trip to Vermont.

After being out with back spasms (suffered last Friday during morning skate in Saskatoon before the B's faced the Winnipeg Jets), Krejci could make his return to the ice as early as Wednesday.

"We’re hoping to see David on the ice tomorrow and we’re optimistic about that," Julien told reporters.

"We’re optimistic that things are going to go well for him."

While Krejci had what appears to be a quick recovery, Soderberg's injury is more questionable, after he hit a rut in the ice of the third period against the Jets in Saskatoon.

"Söderberg again is just being evaluated. There’s some swelling there [on his ankle] so we don’t know exactly for sure until that swelling goes down a little bit more."

"So he’s probably a little bit longer, I would say doubtful for Thursday, highly doubtful."

Thursday marks the Bruins' 2013-14 season opener at TD Garden against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
